What is the GPU?
Your graphics processing unit (GPU) plays a big part when rendering and processing images with our software and plug-ins. For that reason, it is important to keep the display drivers up to date. Follow these instructions to ensure that you have the latest software updates for your computer's graphics card.
Windows Auto Detect will not always find the latest drivers for your graphics card. You will need to visit the graphic card manufacturer's website to get the correct driver update. See the manufacturer links at the bottom of this article.
How to find your GPU Model on Windows
To determine your current Graphics Card installed on your machine, follow the steps below:
Hold down the [Windows Key] and press the letter [R] on your keyboard.
Type in DXDIAG in the Run window and press Enter on your keyboard.
Once the DXDIAG program loads, click the "Display" tab.
You should see a window that looks like this:
You will want to note the information listed under "Name" on the left panel of the box, under "Device". In this example, the information would be ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series. This information is the model of your video card. The next step is finding the newest software for the model listed. Go to the manufacture for your graphics card listed below and follow the steps on their graphic driver update page to get the newest graphics driver for your machine.

You can download the latest Intel drivers from the following link. Just download the Driver & Support Assistant and follow the instructions.
NVIDIA: We suggest you do not use the Windows Updater to get your graphics card driver because NVIDIA releases new drivers very frequently. For this reason, it is best to go through the NVIDIA website. Make sure that you check the "Clean Install" checkbox when using NVidia's installer.

AMD: You can download the latest AMD drivers from the following link.
Windows 10: If you follow these instructions and it says you are up to date when you aren't, try repeating the steps. You can find your current OS build under the Systems tab shown above and you can find the Windows 10 release notes here.

6) Restart your computer
